SUMMARY: On behalf of Fusion Academy, Chandler Signs is requesting a variance to the
Southlake Town Square Phase I conditional sign permit regulations for two (2)
attached fascia signs. The property is located at 301 State Street, Suite 200,
Southlake, Texas.
REQUEST: Chandler Signs is requesting a variance to the Southlake Town Square Phase I
sign regulations to allow two (2) attached fascia signs that exceed maximum letter
height allowed for an upper -story sign.

Specifically, under the Southlake Town Square Phase I sign regulations, Section
2.0 Maximum Letter/Logo Height: Upper Story Fascia Sign — ten inches (10"). The
applicant is seeking a variance to allow two (2) attached fascia signs that have a
maximum letter height of twenty-four inches (24"). The proposed signs are located
on the north and east elevations.

On November 19, 2015, the Sign Board recommended approval subject to the
staff report and allowing the 24 -inch letter height; noting the applicant's willingness
to provide a sample of an 18 -inch letter height to City Council. The applicant has
responded with the requested renderings which have been included in Attachment
`C' page 2 of this report.
