Request Details
At your last meeting, the applicant proposed three (3) attached signs; one (1) for each elevation facing a street or internal driveway. The letters for Gloria’s were proposed to be
halo lit with red LED instead of the white required by the approved master sign plan. The applicant also proposed a tag line for Latin Cuisine that had the appearance of a boxed cabinet
type sign which is not allowed under the master plan or the city’s sign ordinance. The item was tabled and the applicant has revised the tag line sign in removing the cabinet and replacing
it with a flat black plate with ¾ inch pushed through letters.
The Master Sign Plan for Park Village requires that all attached signs located on “Village” buildings will be halo lit
channel cut letters and the illumination is required to be white. The attached signs proposed for the north and southeast elevations are channel cut letters with red L.E.D. halo illumination
(Gloria’s) to include a tag line sign (Latin Cuisine) which consists of a flat black aluminum plate with pushed thru ¾ inch letters. The letters in tag line sign are illuminated with
white L.E.D. on the sides only. The sign proposed for the east elevation is channel cut letters with red L.E.D. halo illumination (Gloria’s) without the tag line sign. All other components
of the proposed signs meet the criteria of the Master Sign Plan.
