This approval would extend a Community Services Agreement that has been in place with the Southlake Chamber of Commerce since 1999. The amount of the agreement is the same as in the
past. There is one new work item added to the agreement for a newly created program called SKIL -, Southlake Kids Interested in Leadership. This program is to help students become more
aware of government and business functions. The Chamber has agreed to set up meetings for students and local businesses and provide one student scholarship. Several other programs initiated
for the first time last year will receive special attention for improvement or advancement. One of these items added last year was the Business Retention and Expansion Survey. The report
for that project FY 2015 project is being completed now. For FY 2016, the survey process will begin earlier in Q2 so it may be completed in Q3. Also, two trial safety education classes
were initiated last year, presented by UNT at VarioSystems. Results of that program will enable us to expand the classes offerings in FY 2016. Also, work began on the development of
a prominent speaker event, but because of scheduling conflicts, that event was pushed Q2 of FY 2016. It will be a half-day event with well known business panelists and a luncheon.

presentations once a month at Council meetings; Chamber co-hosting a prominent speaker event with the City moved to earlier in the year; Chamber co-hosting two regional broker breakfast
events – one for commercial and one for residential brokers; and the Chamber and City expansion of the educational course program.
