• BOARD EXPERIENCE - As a volunteer Board member, over the last 18 years, I have experience
serving on Boards at State, county, and local community levels.
• BUSINESS EXPERIENCE - I have been a business owner, consulted for physicians and medical
practices, and taught seminars to physicians and medical staff, in 32 states, on approximately 25
subjects, such as, Personnel Management, Marketing, and Financial Management, many of which apply
to most business and are beneficial when serving on a Board.
• TRAVEL EXPERIENCE — I've traveled to over 70 countries. As a tourist, I have seen and experienced
what many great cities have done to become a "destination".
• PROVEN RECORD OF SUCCESS - I am virtually a full-time, professional volunteer and have a
proven record of being VERY successful at it forl8 years, especially when I feel passionate about
something. Since "community" is VERY important to me, I AM passionate about my community,
Southlake, and serving on the Community Enhancement Development Corporation Board. Passion
leads to dedication; dedication leads to success! My past volunteer success have led to numerous
accolades and awards, which include the Knights of Columbus Good Neighbor of the Year, the Keep
Texas Beautiful Individual Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award, the honor of being nominated to
the Texas Women's Hall of fame, and several awards from the Texas Department of Transportation. It
is very important to know how to respectfully, and patiently work with TXDOT. These awards are
important because they represent my experiences and successes serving on volunteer Boards.
• NEW CONTRIBUTIONS — I've helped every incorporated city in Cooke County, TX win the
Governor's Community Achievement Award (GCAA). I believe that I can help Southlake win the
GCAA, bringing additional accolades to Southlake on the State level, and $210,000 toward a
beautification project.
What is your favorite thing about Southlake?
