Approve Artist Contract for Public Art at The Marq Southlake
Good evening Mayor and members of the City Council, Item 4I is the proposed artist contract for the sculpture to be acquired for The Marq Southlake.

Requested Action
Approve contract with Kathleen Caricof to provide public art, “Southlake Constellation,” for The Marq Southlake.
Tonight, staff is requesting City Council approval of the contract with artist Kathleen Caricof to provide the approved sculpture, “Southlake Constellation,” for The Marq Southlake.

Artist Contract
The proposed contract is the standard Artists Agreement utilized by the City on previous public art sculpture contracts, including the artist contracts for sculptures at DPS North, DPS
Headquarters and the other City roundabouts.
Included in the cost of $100,000 is the casting of the sculpture, delivery and artists consultation on installation.

contract was included in the packet memo.

Financial considerations
Funding is included in the FY 2015 General Fund CIP for public art at The Marq Southlake as recommended in the 2030 Public Art Master Plan and Public Art Policy.

Tonight we are seeking City Council approval of the artist contract with Kathleen Caricof in the amount of $100,000
for the public art for The Marq.
