Southlake Roundabout Proposal
Dream Big Sculpture
two
featuresbronze eagles soaring majestically into the sky
symbolizing the great heights that have been achieved through the spirit of community
in Southlake.
The eagles, birds native to the Texas area, represent the ideas of freedom and
The pair of eagles
will be flying across a stainless steel mobius circleas they move into the future.
The circle integrates a timeless, contemporary element to this cast bronze sculpture,
luminescent yet non-
reflective, eliminating any possibility of glare for motorists.
Knowing that roundabouts serve as portals into the city, we were struck by the need
for asculpture that not only compliments the design elements of these exceptional
neighborhoods, but risesabove the roundabout so that it can be better seen and
appreciated by all the residents and visitors to Southlake.
The two eagles,(similar to the one pictured belowfig.1) are unique in design and

interesting and engaging from all angles, and will be cast
from the highest quality silicon bronze and stainless steel, which are materials well
known to be both durable and low maintenance.
Following is a detail shot of a sculpture similar to the ones being created for this
project, along with three other concept sketches of our proposal.
