Southlake in an amount not to exceed $360,000.
Background
Information:
Phase 1 of The Marq Southlake is currently under construction with
an anticipated opening in December 2015. Staff has been working
with the architect, Baker Rinker Seacat, and interior design firm,
Gallun Snow, on the selection of furniture for the facility. Many
factors were considered during the selection of furniture including
aesthetic quality, durability, intended use and compatibility with
interior furnishings. Staff also considered feedback received from
the Senior Advisory Commission when selecting furniture pieces for
the new Senior Center.
In June, staff released a request for bid for furniture at The Marq
Southlake. Five companies responded to the bid, with Interior
Resources being the recommended vendor based on their ability to
provide the furniture items listed in the bid package and proposed
price. Interior Resources is a full service office furniture dealership
located in the Dallas Design District. Each member of the project
team has over 17 years of experience in the industry providing
furniture delivery and installation services. Interior Resources
represents over 200 manufacturers of office furniture and is a
certified vendor with the City of Southlake.
