Kahan with EarthWise Pet Supply. Mr. Kahan provided a description of the services
provided, hours of operation, and location of business.
4. SISTER CITIES REPORT
Assistant to the Director of Community Services Cassie Tucker shared with the Council
photos and experiences from the student delegation trip to Tome Japan in June.
Assistant City Manager Ben Thatcher reported on the official delegation trip in June and
th
spoke to the participation in the Tome City 10 anniversary celebration withMayor Pro
Tem Randy Williamson and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Brandon Bledsoe. Both Mayor Pro
Tem Williamson and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Bledsoe shared their experiences and
thanked the City and Sister Cities for their support.
5. REVIEW OF PROPOSED PARK VILLAGE TRAFFIC UTILITY BOX
SCREENING CONCEPTS FOR THE EXISTING BOX LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF EAST SOUTHLAKE BOULEVARD AND SOUTH
CARROLL AVENUE NEAR THE LOCATION OF THE FUTURE LARGE
FOUNTAIN. PROVIDE AN UPDATE ON BUILDING AND AMENITY
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY AT PARK VILLAGE.
Senior Director of Planning and Development Services Ken Baker presented
information and was available to answer questions from Council. Developer Stephen
Coslik with Woodmont Company updated Council on the construction and leasing
activity.

Director of Public Works Bob Price gave an update on current Public Works projects to
include pothole repairs, FM1938, Brumlow Avenue, North White Chapel Avenue, traffic
signals, water system improvements and sewer and drainage projects.

Zoning Change and Site Plan for White Line Self Storage granting the following
variances; reducing the minimum stacking depth on the east drive of the site from the
required 28 feet to 23 feet. Noting the applicant agrees that the only -use approved
on this site is for an on-site office to man the facility, the applicant agrees to hours of
operation from 6:00AM to 10:00PM with rare exceptions and on a one off basis, the
applicant also agrees to meet city articulation requirements on all sides of the building,
finally the applicant agrees the fencing material on the property would be as follows; on
the west side wrought iron fencing with complimentary landscaping, on the north side
complimentary bricks to match the building in addition to stone columns. Also noting the
trash receptacle has been moved to the north to approximately 20 feet from the property

ordinance of the City of Southlake, Texas, providing for a residential homestead
property tax exemption noting that the exemption will be increased from 10% to 12%.
