Waterline layout
The construction of the 16-inch waterline along Harrell Drive between the Pearson ground storage tanks and the existing 12-inch water main in Johnson Road is necessary for the purpose
of introducing additional capacity into the high pressure plane. The current T-connection at the intersection of N. Pearson Road and Johnson Road splits the flow into two directions
causing the pumps at the Pearson tanks to work harder. The proposed T-connection at the intersection of Johnson Road and Harrell Drive will supply additional capacity into the 12-inch
waterline in Johnson Road and therefore reduce the amount of work generated by the pumps at the Pearson pump station. Additionally, this added line will allow the elevated storage tank
on Florence Road to fill quicker during low peak times.
