ORDINANCE NO. 449
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE N~E OF THE STREET
LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY PRESENTLY KNOW AS
"MOCKINGBIRD" (IN THE WEST BEACH ADDITION) to
"BLUEBIRD" FURTHER DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A":
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE: AND PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, a change in the name of the street located within the
City of Southlake, T¢~xas (the "City"), presently known as
"Mockingbird" (in the West Beach Addition) to "Bluebird" has been
requested by the City of Southlake; and
WHEREAS, there already exist a street named "Mockingbird"
within the city limits of the City of Southlake and would be in
direct conflict with responses for emergency services; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to hereby
officially change the name of such street as requested.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
Ordir~ance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the name of the street located within tile
City presently known as "Mockingbird" be and is hereby officially
changed to "Bluebird".
Section 3. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid or unconstitutional by a
Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance; and the City
Council hereby declares it would have passed such remaining
protions of the ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining
protions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance
are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of the inconsistency or
conflict.
