AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 350 OF
THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, WHICH PROVIDES
FOR THE REGULATION OF SIGNS, BY REPEALING
THOSE SPECIFIC PROVISIONS PERTAINING TO
APPEAL TO THE CITY CO~JCIL OF A DETERMINA-
TION M~E IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS
OF OP~IN~CE NO. 950; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; A~N-D PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. ~50 of the City generally provides
for the regulation of signs within the City, and specifically
provides that the City Council may hear and decide appeals
alleging error ~n any order, requirement, decision, or
determination made by the City's Building Official in the
enforcement of the ordinance; and
~HEREAS, the City Council hereby determines that the
provisions for sign regulation established by Ordinance No. ~50
are fair and just and have been established to promote the
health, safety, welfare, convenience, and enjoyment of the
public; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized and directed the
City's Building Official to enforce the provisions of Ordinance
No. BS0 and, therefore~ hereby determines that the provisions
pertainin~ to an. appeal to the City Council of a determination
made in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. ~50 are
unnecessary and should be repealed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE:
Section !. That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That Ordinance No. ~50 of the City, be and
the same is hereby amended as specifically set forth below to
repeal those specific provisions pertaining to appeal to the
City Council of a determination made in accordance with such
ordinance. Ordinance No. ~50 is hereby specifically amended as
follows:
Paragraph (a) of Section V, subsection E, is
hereby repealed in its entirety; and
