ORDINANCE NO. 348
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1986 TO BE ASSESSED ON ALL
TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, all notices required by law prerequisite to the establish-
ment of the tax rate for the City of Southlake have here-
tofore been published and public hearings held and the budget
established in the amount to be raised has been passed;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
Section 1 That there shall be and there is hereby levied the
following taxes on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.)
of valuation on all taxable property within the City
of Southlake, Texas, to be assessed and collected by
the Tax Assessor/Collector for the year 1986 for the
purposes hereinafter stipulated, to wit:
(a) For the general fund levied on the $100.
valuation; $.2748.
(b) For the debt service fund levied on the $100.
valuation: $.0452.
TOTAL LEVY: $.32
Section 2 The necessity of adopting this tax levy prior to the
beginning of the budget year so as to enable the City
to collect taxes, creates an emergency making it un-
necessary to read and consider this ordinance more
than one time, and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately upon passage.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas, on this the 22nd day of September, 1986, by a
vote of ayes and C11 nay s, and ~-7- abstaining.
