AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PROHIBITING POSSESSION OR
CONSUMPTIC~ OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON PARK PRS~ISES;
PROHIBITING DR1ArING OF A 5~TOR VSZICLE ON PLAYING
FIELDS OR COURTS; PROHIBITING VANDALISM OR DESTRUCTION
OF PARK PROPERTY, EQUIPMENT OR FACILITIES; PROVIDING
~{E~REAS, ~he City Council of the City of Southlake, desires to
establish regulations providing for the health, safety and general
welfare of our youth and citizens as well as to provide reasonable
laws for the protection of the citizens of Sou~hlake; And,
~RF2KS, d%e City Cotmcil of the City of Southlake, also wished to
establish reasonable laws to provide protection for park property,
facilities ~%d ecuipment; Now,
THEREFORE BE IT ORDA/NED BY THE CI~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S(X/fHIAKE,
SECTION I
The transportation onto, [~sseEsion of or constur~tion of alcoholic
t~verages shall be prohibited at the City Park (knovza as
Bicentennial Park).
SECTION II
The destruction of park property, facilities or equi~nent ~%rouqh
misuse or malicious intent shall be prohibited. Accordingly, the
unauthorized olkeration of a motor vehicle on playinq ~ields or courts
and any other misuse of a n~tor vehicle on p~rk premises shall be
prohibited.
SECTION III
~]y t~rson or persons who shall violate ~ny section of this
Ordin~]ce shall be deems] guilty of a ndsde~anor, and, upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined in any amount not exceeding
two hundred do] lars ($200.00) for each violation.
SROTION IV
'I~is Ordinance shall be in full force and effect frcm and after the
date o~ its publication ~u]d [>assage as pr(~vided by law.
