0217-1O~D~ANC~ 217-1 W]~E~AS, the City Co~cil deems it necessary, and in the public interest and for the general welfare of the public to partially amend Ordinance No. 217 to provide greater flexibility in the state of development of the city; NGW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA~ BY THE CITY ~Ot~CIL OF THE CITY OF Sf~3I%~{E, TEX~S: A. ~hat section 9-~RIANCES kND FDDIFICATIONS TO STANDARDS of Ordinance 217 have the follcwing subsection d: If,in the Council's discretion, it is found that a street would be part of a large lot rural type de~lopmant and, due also to the particular state of land development at the time in the City, a special street standard of construction would be in the best interest of the City; then such street or streets c~uld be designated as "STANDARD SL~DIVISIGN PAVED STets'r, ESTATE TYPE" ~aning a t~ ~ street with drainage ditches on eath side. 7he street shall have a crown of six to eight inches (6" to 8") and a crown width of thirty-six feet (36') which shall include a twenty-six foot (26') wide and eight inch (8") compacted grail base with a twenty-four foot (24') wide surface treatment in the center of said gravel base. The surface treatment shall be a double course of hot asphalt penetration, or one and c~e half inch (1½") hot plant mix asphalt. The street shall m~et all other specificatiens of City Regulations. B. This ~n~ndmsnt to Ordinance 217 shall become effecti~ frc~ its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor of the City of Southl~ke,Texas.
