AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THEfCITY OF SOUTH-
LAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL
BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS
AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO
ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF THE OTHER CITIZENS OF
SAID CITY, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORD-
INANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER
ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND
CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID
CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED AND
DESIGNATING THE ZONING AS "AG" (AGRICULTURE)
DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953,
53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article
974-G, Revised civil Statutes of Texas, Mary Irene Higgins,
of Tarrant County, Texas, owner of the real property herein-
after described, having made application as by law provided to
the Mayor and City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas,
for annexation of a tract of land situated in Tarrant County,
Texas, out of the Heirs of Christopher Dart Survey, more par-
ticularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 6 varas West of the North-
east corner of the C. Dart Survey, Abstract No.
2003, and the Southeast corner of the C. M.
Throop Survey, Abstract No. 1510;
THENCE West along the North line of the C. Dart
Survey and the South line of the C. M. Throop
Survey 268-3/10 varas to a stake;
THENCE South 365 varas to a stake;
THENCE East 268-3/10 varas to a point in the
West line of a road;
THENCE North along the West line of the road
parallel with the East line of the C. Dart Survey
365 varas to the place of Beginning, containing
17-35/100 acres of land, as surveyed January
1948 by Joe Lipscomb; SAVE AND EXCEPT two acres
of land out of the above described tract beginning
at the same poln%, %hence south 420 feet, thence
west 210 feet, thence north 420 feet, thence east
210 feet to Beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to
the boundary of the City of Southlake, Texas, is attached here-
to marked EXHIBIT "A"; And
