0177OR ANOE NO. AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF SOUTH- LAKE, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THJ~REOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF THE OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORD- INANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED AND DESIGNATING THE ZONING AS "AG" AGRICULTURE DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974-G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, H. E. Swaim, of Dallas County, Texas, owner of the real property herein- after described, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and City Council of the/City~ of South~ake, Texas, for annexation of a tract of hand situated in Tarrant County, Texas, out of the Christopher Dart and W. H. Martin Surveys, more particularly described by metes and boauads as follows: BEGINNING at a concrete monument, said point being South 89 degrees 39 minutes West 1620.0 feet and North 1074.84 feet from the Southeast corner of Christopher Dart Survey and the South line of the W. H. Martin Survey, 1626.3 feet to a concrete monument in the East line of County Road No. 3035; THENCE North 0 degrees 32 minutes West 49-96 feet with the East line of said County Road to a con- crete monument at the beginning of a curve to the right with a radius of 401.64 feet; THENCE Northeasterly along the Easterly line of said County Road, along said curve, a distance of 234.8 feet to a concrete monument at the end of ~id eurve~ THENCE North 32 degrees 58 minutes East with the Easterly line of said County Road, 347.24 feet to a concrete monu~aent, the Southwest corner of a certain tract of land conveyed to the Veterans' Land Board Tract, 1373.25 feet to a concrete monu- ment for corner; THENCE South 543-67 feet to the place of beginning, and containing 19.54 acres of land. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the boundary of the City of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A"; And WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, that all statutory requirements in eon- nection with said proposed annexation have been fulfilled and that the above described area is not more than ~ mile in width, that not more than three qualified voters reside thereon, and that the same is adjacent to the present city limits of the City of Sou,blake, Texas, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and contiguous to the city limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said City and is hereby made an integral part thereof. THAT, the owners and irahabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said City and be bound by all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and that which may be here- after adopted. THAT, the official map and boundaries of the City of South- lake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned terri- tory as part of the City of Southlake, Texas. THAT, in accordance with Section IV-4 of Ordinance No. 161, the land made the basis of this annexation proceeding is hereby zoned "Ag" Agriculture District.
