ORDINANCE NZ).
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNE ING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF SOUTH-
LAKE, TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL
BECOME A PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS
AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL
THE PRIVILEGES OF THE OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY,
AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN
EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED: FURTHER
PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE
OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE
ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, Codified as Article 974-G Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas, R. W. Morrow and wife, Rena Higgins Morrow, owners
of the real property hereinafter described having made application as by law
provided to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, for
annexation of a tract of land out of the H. Medlin Survey and being tracts
"A", "2-B" and 112-C", recorded in Volume 2278, page 215, Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, as follows:
In the H. Medlin Survey, and being tracts "A" 29. 5 acres,
112-13" 23. 9 acres, 112-C" 10. acres, abstract No. 1038
Beginning at the South West Corner of the O. W. Knight
Survey, thence south 93 rods to a stake, thence West 47
rods to a stake, thence North 93 rods to a stake, thence
47 rods East to the place of beginning, containing 30 acres
mcr e or le s s out of the H. Medlin Survey.
Beginning in the center of Big Bear Creek where the East
line of the H. Medlin Survey crosses said creek. Thence
North with said East line 46 rods to a stake, thence west
35 rods to a stake, thence south'46 rods to the center of
said Bear Creek, thence East down the center of said
creek to the place of beginning, containing 10 acres more
or less out of the H. Medlin Survey.
Beginning at an iron pin in Public Road at the N. W. Corner
of the E. E. Higgins 30 acre tract of land in Hall Medlin 320
acre Survey; thence west 61 vrs, thence south 1217 vrs. to
center of Big Bear Creek, thence S.E. with the meandering of
said creek to the S. W. corner of the E. E. Higgins 10 acre tract,
thence N. 282 vrs. to the N. W. corner of Higgins 10 acre
tract, thence East 209 vrs. , thence North 291 vrs. , thence
West 282 vrs. , Thence North 552 vrs. to the place of beginning
and being 24 acres of land in said named county and state.
