ORDINANCE NO. 134-B-4
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE NEW WATER RATES
FOR SERVICES'OF THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS AND SETTING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR BY REPEALING ORDINANCE
134-B-3 AND AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE 134-B
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS:
1.
Ordinance No. 134-B-3 is hereby repealed and declared to have
been inoperative.
II.
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 134-B of the City of Southlake,
is hereby amended and the following is substituted therefore:
"SECTION 1: That the monthly rates for water services furnished
by the Water Works System shall be as follows:
A. A minimum monthly charge based on water usage up to and including
the first 2,000 gallons shall be at the following monthly rate
depending on the size of the water meter.
METER SIZE MONTHLY MINIMUM RATE
3/4" or smaller 6.00
over 3/4" but not over 1" 12.00
Over 1" but not over 1-1/2" 15.00
over 1-1/2" but not over 2" 18.00
add $3.00 per 1/2 inch in size plus 18.00
B. In addition to the above shown minimum monthly rate, the following
rate schedule shall apply:
GALLONS USED MONTHLY PRICE PER 1,000 GALLONS
First 2,000 gallons (minimum charge depending
on meter size)
Next 5,000 gallons 1.30 per thousand
All over 7,000 gallons 1.00 per thousand
C. Tapping fee not less than actual cost to city."
III.
This said Ordinance amendment shall take effect from and after its
adoption and publication of caption hereof as provided by law
with said new rates being effective as of August 1,1980
