0114 ORDINANCE NO. 114 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREIN- AFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974.G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, R. B. Sharpless and wife, Abbie Rilla Sharpless, of Tarrant County, Texas, owner of the real property hereinafter described having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Southlake, Texas, for annexation to said Town, a Twenty--Five (25) acre tract of land situated in the J. J. Freshour Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, and a Sixty"Nine (69) acre tract situated in the S. H. Thompson Abstract 1504 Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows= TRACT NO. 1 A tract of land consisting of 25 acres more or less located in the J. J. Freshour Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the South right"of~way line County Road No. 4091 where same intersects the present West City Limit Line of the Town of Southlake, Texas; THENCE, West along the South right-of-way line County Road 4091 to a point 137*5 varas East of the Southwest Corner of the J. J. Freshour Survey; THENCE, North 0 degrees 21 min. West crossing the North right-of"way line County Road 4091, and continuing 442 varas to a South, Southeast Corner of said tract; THENCE, West to the East right-of-way line of County Road 4041 for corner; THENCE, North along the East right-.of"way line of County Road 4041, 214.6 varas to a point for corner; THENCE, East 261.5 varas to a point for corner; THENCE, North 0 degrees 21 min. West 1014.14 varas to a point for corner; THENCE, East 36.8 varas to the Northeast Corner of said tract; THENCE, South 770 varas to the North right-of-way Line of County Road No. 14091; THENCE, East along the North right-of-way line of County Road 14091 to the present West City Limit Line of Town of Southlake, Texas; THENCE, South crossing County Road No. 14091 to the place of beginning. TRACT NO. 2 A tract of land consisting of sixtynine (69) acres more or less located in the S. H. Thompson Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the East Boundary Line of the S„ H. Thompson Survey where same intersects the South right-»of-tway line of County Road No. 3099, said point being a present South City Limit Line of the Town of Southlake, Texas; THENCE, South along the East Boundary Line of the said S. H. Thompson Survey, 1492 varas to a point for corner; THENCE, West 720.9 varas to the Southwest Corner of said Tract; THENCE, North 5146 varas more or less crossing County Road No+ 3099 to its North right~ofMway line of corner; THENCE, East along the North right-of-way line of County Road No. 3099 to a point where same intersects the East right.-.of"way line of County Road No. 3088; THENCE, South along the East right«.of"way line of County Road No„ 3088 to the North right-of.-..way line of County Road No. 3099 for corner; THENCE, East along the North ri.ght.of*4way line of County Road No. 3099 to the East Boundary Line of the S. H. Thompson Survey for corner; THENCE, South along the East Boundary Line of said survey crossing County Road No. 3099 to the place of beginning. "2,-, A plat of said tracts of land showing location thereof with respect to the Toen of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBITS "A" and "C", respectively; and WHEREAS, it appearing to the Town Council of the Town of Southlake, Texas$ that all statutory requirements in connection with said proposed annexation have been fulfilled and that the above described area is not more than 1/2 mile in width, that not more than three qualified voters reside thereon, and that the same is adjacent to the present City Limits of the Town of Southlake, Texas; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: 1, THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent, and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof. 2, THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and or dinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted. 3w THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas. 4. THIS, or dinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary. ADOPTED this day of Jl'L/' , A.
