AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT Ad') CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS ; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT ?i OWNERS AND IN-»
H NDITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE -=4 REINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WiIEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as I'Irticle 974-G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, F. W. Albrecht, of Tarrant County, Texas, owner
of the real property hereinafter described, having made application as
by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Sout'alake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 28 acres, more or less,
situated in the W. R. Eaves Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully
described by metes and 'pounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point where the South right of way line of F. M.
1709 Road intersects the East right of way line of County Ro^d
No. 3088;
THENCE, West and Southwest alon;- the South line of F. M. 1709
Road to the Northwest corner of a 28 acre tract in the W. R.
Eaves Survey owned by applicant herein;
TiIENCE, South alongthe ?hest line of said 28 acre tract to its
Southwest corner;
TiIEM` CE, East ;Tong its South line 365 varas to the East line of
County Road No. 3088;
TIJENICE, North alon the East line of County Road No. 3083 to the
pace of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".
1.
THAT, the ;7roperty owners hereinabove described being adjacent
and contiguous to the Town Limits of Soutllake, Texas, be and is
hereby annexed and brought within the Corpor~)te Limit's of said Town
and ishereby made an integral part thereof.
2.
THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be
entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted.
3.
THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of
Southlake, Texas.
THIS ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly
attested by the Town Secretary.
