AN ORDIIANCE RECEIVING AND ATNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT Al,D CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA S-JALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND TH.°sT THE OWNERS AXD INHAB_
ITANTS TIIEREOF S= TALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHED CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW II EFFECT
AND TO BE HT-~'?EINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHE'?. PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS ATTENDED,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974-G, Devised
Civil Statutes of Texas, E. W. Bailey and wife, Kate BFiley, Tarrant
County, Texas, owners of the real 1roperty herein,fter described, having
made aps_>licati on as by law t_)rovided to the Mayor and Bo::)rd of Aldermen
of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 40 acres,
more or less, as is fully described in Warranty Deed, recorded in Volume
3026, Page 38, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, situated in the
James Thornhill Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, and more fully described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of the 160 acre
Thornhill Survey;
THENCE, West 950 varas to t ie Northwest corner of said
Survey;
THENCE, South 257-1/2 varas to a stake in the West line
of said Survey;
T-HIENCE, East 950 varas to a stake in tine ground;
THENCE, North 257-,1/2 varas to the ;lace of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".

THAT, tine property owners .hereinabove described being adjacent
and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Cor-oorate Limits of said Town and is
hereby made an integral part ttzereof.
2.
THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area :herein annexed be
entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and or-
dinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and
that which may be hereafter adopted.
