AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS Ti THE TOWN OF SOUTHLA`.E,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SJC i AREA S_riA_LL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN-
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND O=RDI'ANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR A1,1ENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974=G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, H. A. Overstreet and wife, Juanita, Overstreet,
owners of the real property hereinafter described, having made application
as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Southlake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 38.4 acres, more or less,
situated i_1 the Hall Medlin Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully
described by metes ant bounds as fo'.lows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of the 11. Medlin Survey,
Abstract No. 1038, said point being in the center of County
Road io. 3099;
T~ ENCE, East along the North boundary line of the 11. Medlin
Survey and the center line of County Road No. 3099, 420
varas to a.--)oint where County Road No. 3099 intersects County
Road No. 3016 for corner;
T'IENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the center line of
County Road No. 3016 to a iDoint where Coi,anty Road No. 3016 and
Big -Bear Creek intersect for corner;
THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction along the meant-_erings of
Big Bear Creek to a point in the West boundary 1.'_ne of the
1. Medlin Survey for corner;
THENCE, North alone the West boundary line 640 varas to the
place of beginning.
A p.l-~t of said land s'aowing its location with respect to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, is at'ached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".

THAT, the property owners hereinabove described being adjacent
and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought w-thin tLie Corporate Limits of said Town and is
hereby made an integral part thereof.

THAT, the owners and inh:~-:bitants of the area herein annexed be
entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said Town and be bound by all of tine acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and. effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted.

THAT, the official map and bounds ri.es of the Town of South.lake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amnnded, be and is hereby amended so
as to include the aforementioned territory as past of the Town of
Southlake, Texas.

THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect from and Ffte:~ its passage and approval by the Mayor and
duly attested by the Town Secretary.
