0063 ORDINANCE NO. 63 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN- HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED ASAMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974NG; Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, R. G. Brown and wife, Audrey Theo Brown, of Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter des- cribed, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 10 acres, more or less, situated in the W. R. Eaves Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: TRACT NO. 1 h Consisting of 8.6 acres, more or less, described by metes and bounds, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point in the North right of way line of F. M. 1709 Road and the East right of way line of County Road N0.3035; THENCE, North along the East right of way line of County Road No. 3035, 140 varas to a point for the Northwest corner of the tract of land being herein described; THENCE, East in a line parallel to the North line of the W. R.' Eaves Survey 250 varas to a point where same intersects the North right of way line of F. M. 1709 Road. THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction along the North right of way line of said F. M. 1709 Road, 270 varas to the East right of way line of County Road No. 3035, the place of beginning. TRACT NO. 2 Consisting of 2 acres, more or less, lying South of F. M. 1709 Road in the W. R. Eaves Survey, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point 320 varas more or less East of the East line of County Road No. 3035 for the Southwest corner of tract being herein describedf said point being also in the South right of way line of F. M. 1709 Road; THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the South right of way line of F. M. 1709 Road, 230 varas for the Northwest corner of said tract; THENCE, South in a line parallel to the West boundary line of the W. R. Eaves Survey 112 varas to a point, same being the Southwest corner of said 2 acme tract; THENCE, East in a line parallel to the North boundary line of W. R. Eaves Survey 238 varas to the place of beginning. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A". 1. THAT, the property owners hereinabove described being adjacent and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof. 2. THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted. 3. THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas. 4. THIS,, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary.
