ORDINANCE NO. 55
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN-
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974"G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, George H. Harmon. and wife, Leona F. Harmon,
of. Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter des-
cribed, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and
Board of Aldermen of the 'T'own of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land
consisting of 78 acres, more or less, situated in the J. T. Bailey
Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Northwest corner of the J. T.
Bailey Survey;
THENCE, East 397.1 varas to the West line of a two (2)
acre tract;
THENCE, South 155.8 varas to a point for corner of said two
acre tract;
THENCE, West 77.9 varas to the center line of the J. T.
Bailey Survey;
THENCE, South along the center line of the said J. T. Bailey
Survey 794.2 varas to the Soutk line thereof;
THENCE, West along the South line of said Survey 475 varas to
the Southwest corner thereof;
THENCE, North along the West line of said Survey 950 varas to
the place of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".
