ORDINANCE NO. 54
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INA
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974NG, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, Charles W. Van Deventer of Tarrant County,
Texas owner of the real property hereinafter described, having made
application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen
of the Town of Southlake: Texas, a tract of land consisting of 35
acres, more or less,, situated in the L.G. B. Hall Survey, Tarrant
County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 343.3 varas South of the
Northeast corner of the said L. G. B. Hall Survey
in the West line of County Road No. 3123, said
point beingthe Northwest corner of a 35 acre tract
of land annexed to the Town of Southlake, Texas, on
December 29, 1956, pursuant to its Ordinance No. 25;
THENCE, West in a line parallel to the Nortia line of
said Survey 651.9 varas to a point for corner;
THENCE, North 201.5 varas to a point for corner;
THENCE, West 299.3 varas to the West line of the
L. G. B. Hall Survey;
THENCE, South 345.5 varas to the Southwest corner
of the tract herein being described;
THENCE, East in a line parallel to the North line of
said Survey 950 varas to the West right of way line
of County Road No. 3123;
THENCE, North along the West line of said County Road
144 varas to the placeof beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of
Southla.ke, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".
