0051 ORDINANCE NO. 51 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN- HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILMES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974-.4G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, E. H. Morgan and wife, Stella A. Morgan, of Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter des- cribed, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 180 acres out of the J. Childress and B. J. Foster Surveys, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point 950 varas South of the North line of said Survey; THENCE, South in a line parallel to the West line of the B. J. Foster Survey, 950 varas to the Southwest corner of the 80 acre tract being herein described; THENCE, East 475 varas to the East line of the B. J. Foster Survey; THENCE, North along the East line of the B. J. Foster Survey 950 varas to the South line of the J. Childress Survey; THENCE, East along the South line of the J. Childress Survey to the Southwest corner of a 80 acre tract of the J. Childress Survey annexed to the Town of Southlake, Texas, on December 29, 1956, pursuant to its Ordinance No. 50; THENCE, North along the West line of the said 100 acre tract to 950 varas to a point; T,--MNCE, West in a line parallel to the South line of the J. Childress Survey 594 varas to a point; THENCE, South in a line parallel to the West line of the J. Childress Survey, 950 varas to the South line of the said J. Childress Survey; THENCE, West along the South line of the J. Childress Survey to the place of beginning. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A". 1. THAT, the property owners hereinabove described being adjacent and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, bd and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof. 2. THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in-full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted. 3. THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Sout.hlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended to as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas. 4. THIS,. ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect, from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Tarn Secretary.
