ORDINANCE NO. 45
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN-
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZF!`r$S OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE. DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Lggislature, Page 357, Chapter 93: codified as Article 9744--+G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, J. J. Carlile and wife, Lucille Carlile, of
Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter des.
cri.bed, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and
Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land
consisting of 70 acres, more or less, situated in the John A. Freeman
and the J. W. Hale Surveys,_ Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described
by metes and bounds as followsi
FIRST TRACT: 50 acres more or SECOND TRACT: 20 acres, more or less.,
less, the NW part of the SE 4 out of the NE part of the J. W. Hale
of the John A. Freeman Survey, Survey, Certificate No. 19/645, Abst.
Abst. No. 529, Certificate No. No. 803, Patent No. 505, Volume 19,
206, Patent No. 434, Vol. 15, dated March 2, 1872, described as
dated May 15,, 1857, described follows:

BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of

A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".
1.
THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and con.
tiguous to the "town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is
hereby made an integral part thereof.
2.
THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be
entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens
and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts
and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and
effect and that which may be hereafter adopted.
3.
THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town
of Southlake, Texas.
4.
THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly
attested by the Town Secretary.
