ORDINANCE NO. 43
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN-
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter'93, codified as Article 974#4G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, M. E. Sutton and wife, Dorothy Sutton, of
Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter
described, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor
and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of
land consisting of acres, more or less, situated in the
L. H. Chivers Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North right of way
line of County Road No. 3034 where same intersects
the South right of way line of State. Highway No. 114;
THENCE, North and West along the South right of way
line of State Highway No. 114 to a point where same
intersects the East boundary line of the L. H.
Chivers Survey;
THENCE, South along the East boundary line of the
said L. H. Chivers Survey, to the North right of
way line of County Road No. 3034;
THENCE, East along the North right of way line of
County Road No. 3034 to the place of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its locgtion with respect to the Town of
S.outhlake, Texas, is attached hereto matked EXHIBIT nA".
1.
THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and cones
tiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake: Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is
hereby made an integral part thereof.
2.
THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be
entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted.
3.
THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town
of Southlake, Texas.
4.
THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly
attested by the flown Secretary.
