ORDINANCE NO. 41
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN-
HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND
BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES
OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974.4G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, Morris L. Barry and wife, Louise C. Drake
Barry, of Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property herein-
after described, having made application as by law provided to the
Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract
of land consisting of 171,5 acres, more or less, situated in the
Jesse G. Allen Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stone in the North line of said
survey which is 712.5 varas East of the Northwest
corner of said survey;
THENCE, South 954.2 varas, to a stake in the center
of the Keller & Grapevine Road;
THENCE, with center of said road; North 89-3/4
degrees East 208.5 varas;
THENCE, North 294 degrees East 55 varas;
THENCE, North 78 degrees East 695 varas;
THENCE, North 45H3/4 degrees East 300 varas;
THENCE, North 562 degrees East 91 varas, to a
stake in the East line of said survey and in the
center of County Road;
THENCE, North with center of said road 500 varas, to
a stake for corner;
THENCE, West with North line of said J. G. Allen
Survey 1206.5 varas to the place of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".

THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and con-
tiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is
hereby made an integral part thereof.

THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be
entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted.

THAT, the officiAl map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town
of Southlake, Texas.
4.
THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly
attested by the Town Secretary.
