0040 ORDINANCE N0. 40 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN- HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974--G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, John E. Church and wife, Vernelle Church, of Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter des- cribed, having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 14.66 acres, more or less, situated in the Hiram Granberry and L. B. G. Hall Surveys, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the North right of way line of F. M. 1709 Road and the West right of way line of County Road No. 3016, in the L. B. G. Hall Survey, continuin&r South across said Road to the Northeast corner of a 14.66 acre tract of land in the H. Granberry Survey as is described in Deed recorded in Volume 2440, Page 433, Deed Records, Tarrant County,, Texas; THENCE, South 62 degrees West 91 varas; THENCE, South 20 degrees 45 minutes West 91 varas; THENCE, West 466 varas to a stake set in fence line for corner; THENCE, North 170 varas to the South right of way line of F. M. 1709 Road and continuing North across said Road to the North right of way line thereof; THENCE, East along the North right of way line of said road to the West right of way line of County Road No. 3016, the place of beginning. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked ('EXHIBIT °A". 1. THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and con- tiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof. - 2. THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted. 3. THAT, the official may and boundaries of the Town of Southlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas. 4-. THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary.
