ORDINANCE NO. 35
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING
TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO
THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS-; PROVIDING
THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID
TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS
THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE
PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN,
AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES
NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADORTE-P;
FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING
THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS
HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 19539 53rd
Legislature, Page 3579 Chapter 93, codified as Article 974.G, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, Herbert Sword and wife Laura Sword, of
Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter
described having made application as by law provided to the Mayor
and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of
land consisting of nineteen (19) acres of land situated in the
J. J. Freshour Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, more fully described
by metes and bounds as follows;
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of County Project
4091, said point being 631 feet West of and 15 feet north
of the Southeast corner of the J. J. Freshour Survey in
Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE, North 1364 feet to a point;
THENCE, West 606 feet to a point;
THENCE, South 1364 feet to a point in the North right of
way line of said Project 4091;
THENCE, East in the said North right of way line of
County Project 40919 606 feet to the place of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town
of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT °A°.

THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent, and
contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is
hereby made an integral part thereof.

THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be
entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and
property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made' in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted.

THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town
of Southlake, Texas.
4.
THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly
attested by the Town Secretary.
