0024 ORDINANCE NO. 24 AN ORDINANCE_.RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING.THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN- HABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE•HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER.PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE., WHEREAS,,pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974KG,: Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, R. H. Burgess and wife, Mary Burgess, of Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter described having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 80 acres situated in the L., B. G. Hall Survey, Tarrant County, Texas., fully described in a General Warranty Deed recorded in Volume 700, Page 552, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, described by metes and.bounds as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING, at a point in the South right of way line of the Keller--Grapevine (F. M- 1709) Road, 712.8 varas East of the West boundary line of the L. B. G. Hall Survey; THENCE North crossing the said Keller-Grapevine Road to the Southeast corner of the 80 acre tract herein described and continuing from said point in a Northerly direction 475.2 varas to the Northeast corner of said tract; THENCE in a Westerly direction 712.8 varas to the Northwest corner of said tract, said point being in the West boundary line of the said L. G. B. Hall Survey, THENCE South along the West boundary line of the L. G. B. Hall Survey 475.2 varas to the North right of way line of the said Keller-Grapevine Road; THENCE West along the North right of way line of said Keller-.Grapevine Road to a point where same intersects the Northwest corner of said Road with County Road No. 3088, and continuing South across F. M. 1709 Road to the South right of way line thereof; THENCE in an Easterly directionalong the South right of way line of said Keller-Grapevine Road to the place of beginning. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "Alt. lr , THAT, the pr°oper°ty hereinabove described being adjacent and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlakea Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof. 2r THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity ther=eto, now in full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted. 3. THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlakey Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended,, be and is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas. 4. THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary. ADOPTED this day of December, A.
