0023 ORDINANCE NO. 23 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT ]HE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE EN- TITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN.EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974"G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, Albert H. Graves and wife, Virginia W, Graves, of Tarrant County, Texas, owners of the real property hereinafter described having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of land consisting of 25 acres situated in the T. M. Hood and L. G. B. Hall Surveys, Tarrant County, Texas, fully described in a General Warranty Deed, said deed being recorded in Volume -Page_~ Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a rock in the southwest corner of T. M. Hood and Northwest corner of the L. G. B. Hall Survey; THENCE, South 14198 varas iron pipe;_ THENCE, East 950 varas to the West right of way line of County Road Noo 3123; THENCE, South along the West right of way line of said County Road No, 3123 to the North Boundary Line of the N. C. Turner property annexed to the Town of Southlake, Texas, on Ded.3, 1956, pursuant to its Ordinance No. 13 and continuing East across said road to the East right of way lime thereof; THENCE, North with the East Boundary Line of County Road No. 3123 to a point 9 varas North of the South Boundary Line of the Tract herein described; THENCE, West crossing said road and continuing West 213 varas to a point; THENCE, North 182.3 varas; THENCE, West 734.4 varas to West Line of T. M. Hood Survey; THENCE, South 49,5 varas to the place of beginning, being 6.5 acres of land out of the T. M. Hood Survey and 1805 acres of the L. G. B. Hall Survey, in all 25 acres of land. .4 plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A". 1. THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof. ?o THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and prroperty woners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted. 3• THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas. 4. TKLS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary.
