ORDINANCE NO. 21
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS. TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS.; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
,PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABI-
TANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVI-
LEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND
BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE
HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING
AND -CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID
TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND.PRO.-
VIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974-G9 Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, Mable Wright, a Widow, owner of the real
property hereinafter described having made application as by law
provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, a tract of land 1h acres more or less set in the R. J. Paden
Survey, Abstract No.`1255, Tarrant County, Texas, recorded in
Volume , Page , Deed Records, Tarrant County,
Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North Line of said survey
-}7S 47 varas West of its Northeast corner;
SEE (;LEESaA/ THENCE South 627 feet to a point in the North line of
LE77E/~ said survey;
.D.4TEa .2- _/d_57 THENCE East with said North line 104.25 feet to place
k/h'/+G~R.TJ~NAhCI~ of beginning, and being the West _ 1/2 of that certain
7 3 acre tract deeded to J. D. Wright by L. N. Bailey,
et ux, Mettie Bailey by deed dated March 10, 1937, recorded
in Vol. 1330, Page 635, of the Deed Records, Tarrant County,
Texas.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town
of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".

THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and
contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and. is hereby
annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and
is hereby made an integral part thereof.

THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the are herein annexed
be entitled to all of the rights and privileges other citizens and
property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and
ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect
and that which may be hereafter adopted:.

THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town
of Southlake, Texas.
4.
THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor
and duly attested by the Town Secretary.
ADOPTED this day of December, A. D. 1956.
