ORDINANCE NO. 20
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS'TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME.A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABI-
TANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVI-
LEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND
BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE
HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMEND-
ING`AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID
TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND~PRO-»
VIDING FOR.AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953,
53rd Legislature, Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 974HG,
Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, James B. Van Deventer and wife,
Marion Miller Vain Deventer, owners of the real property hereinafter
described having made application as by law provided to the Mayor
and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, a tract of
land consisting of tVo- acres out of the John T. Bailey Survey, Tarrant
County, Texas, as is described in a General Warranty Deed, recorded
in Volume 2088, Page 369, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more
fully described as follows, to-wits
BEGINNING at the NE-Corner of an 80 acre
tract out of the John T. Bailey Survey owned
by L. N. Bailey 475 varas East of the NW
corner of said survey in Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE West 72 yards;
THENCE South 1144 yards;
THENCE East 72 yards;
THENCE North 1144 varas to place of beginning con-
taining two (2) acres out of the John T. Bailey
Survey.
A plat,-of said land showing its location with respect to the Town
of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A".

THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and
contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and
is hereby made an integral part thereof.

THAT,, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed
be entitled 'to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens
and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts
and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and
effect and that which may be hereafter adopted..
3.
THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended., be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town
of Southlake, Texas.

THIS., ordinance shall become effective and be infull force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor
and duly attested by the Town Secretary.
