0012 ORDINANCE NO, 12 .AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN~IABIT" ANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER: CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMEND- ING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd Legislatures Page 357, Chapter 93, codified as Article 914yG, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, Milten F. Murphy and rife Mildred Louise Murphy, owners of the real property hereinafter described having made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Sou thlake, Texas, a tract of land of ten (10) acres more or less situated in the L. B. G. Hall Survey, Abstract No. 686, Tarrant County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows; to.-.wit; BEGINNING at a point in the North right of way line of the Keller Grapevine (F. M. 1709) Roada 475 varas from the southeast corner of the said L, B. G,-Hall Survey for the southwest corner of said ten (10) acre tract; THENCE, north along the west line of said ten (10) acre tract in a line parallel to the east boundary line of the said L. B. G. Hall Survey, a distance of 425 varas to the northwest corner of said ten (10) acre tract; THENCE, east along the north line of said ten (10) acre tract in a line parallel to the south right of way line of the Keller ti Grapevine ( F. M. 1709) Road 136 varas to the northeast corner of said tract; THENCE, South along the east boundary line of said ten (10) acre tract 411 varas to the north right of way line of Keller N Grapevine ( F„ M. 1709) Road; THENCE, west along the north right of way line of said road 136 varas to the place of beginning. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of -S*uthlake., Texas.,, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A°; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, as provided by the law has received said petition and duly and legally considered the same, and it appearing to the Board of said Town that all statutory requirements in connection with said application have been fulfilled and that said area is adjacent and contiguous to the Town of Southlakes Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width, on which not more than three qualified voters reside, all of which the Board so finds; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; THAT, the property he.reinab_ove described being adjacent and contiguous to the Town limits of Southlake, Texas;, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof'. 2. THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said Town and be bound by all"of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted, 3, THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to in the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas, 4. THIS.,, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary. ADOPTED this 31~4 day of „ A.
