0006 ORDINANCE NO. 6 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMEED- AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the acts of 1953, 53rd Legislature, page 357, chapter 93, codified as Article 974- G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, John M. Stevenson and wife, Alfrieda. Stevenson, owners of the real property hereinafter described 'nave made application as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, requesting annexation to the Town of Southlake, Texas, of a tract of land consisting of 191.13 acres situated in the W. W. Hall Survey, Abstract No.. 687, Tarrant County, Texas, as is more fully described in General Warranty Deeds recorded in Vol, 2203, page 349, and Vol. 2783, page 430, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows, to-.wit; BEGINNING at a point in the East line of the W. W. Hall Survey, Abstract No. 687, 180 varas North of the Keller - Grapevine Road (F. M. 1709), said point being existing North City Limit Line of Southlake, Texas; THENCE North 770 varas to a point, same being the Northeast corner of a. 158„33 acre tract as is described in a Warranty Deed recorded in Vol. 2203, page 349, Deed Records, Ta.rra.nt County, Texas; THENCE West in a line parallel to the South line of the said W. W. Hall Survey to a point, same being the Southeast Corner of a 32.4 acre tract described in a Warranty Deed recorded in Vol. 27831 page 430, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texa.s; THENCE North in a line parallel to the West line of the said W, W, Hall Survey to the Northeast corner of said tract; THENCE West in a line parallel with the South boundary line of said 32.4 acre tract to the West right of way line of County Project No. 3016; THENCE South along the West right of way line of County Project 3016 to a point where same intersects the North right of way line of the Keller Grapevine (F. M. 1709) road; THENCE East crossing County Project No. 3016, and continuing East along the North right of way line of said Keller Grapevine Road to a point, same being the South west corner of a two and two-»thirds (2 2/3) acre tract of land conveyed to the Advanced Christian Church, by deed recorded in Volume 619, page 180, Volume 985, Page 564, and Volume 1379, Page 597, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE North in a line parallel to the East Line of said tract 85.9 varas to a point where the boundary line thereof begin to run Vest and continuing West along said boundary line to the most Northerly Southwest corner of said Church Property; THENCE North in a line parallel to the East boundary line of said tract to the Northwest corner thereof and continuing East along the North line thereof, to the Northeast corner of same ; THENCE South in a line parallel to the West line of the said tract to the southeast corner thereof, situated in the north right of way line of the Keller-Grapevine Road; THENCE East along tie North right of way line of F. M. 1709 Road to a point, same being where the present Western City Limit Line crosses said road; THENCE, North in a line parallel to the East line of the said W. W. Hall Survey 180 varas to the Northwest corner of said City Limits situated in said Survey; THENCE, in a line parallel to F. M. 1709 Road, along the North City Limit Line in the said W. W. Hall Survey to the place of beginning. A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the Town of Southlake, Texas, is attached :hereto marked EXHIBIT "A"; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas, as provided by law has received said petition and duly and legally considered the same, and it appearing to the Board of Aldermen of said Town that all statutory requirements in connection with said application have been fulfilled and that said area is adjacent and contiguous to the Town of Southlake, Texas, and is not more than one-half (1/2) mile in width, on which not more than three qualified voters reside, all of which the Board so finds; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: 1. THAT, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and contiguous to the Town Limits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and is hereby made an integral part thereof. _2" 2 THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and effect and that which may be hereafter adopted, 3v THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake, Texas„ as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the Town of Southlake, Texas, THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and duly attested by the Town Secretary, ADOPTED this day of December, A.
