ORDINANCE NO. 3
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID TOWN AND THAT THE OWNERS AND IN -.1A 3 w TANTS
THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES
OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID TOWN, AND BE BOUND BY
THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE
HEREINAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR
AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUND.4ZIES
OF SAID TOWN AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AS AMENDED,
AND PROVIDIN(-T' FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, page 357, chapter 93, codified as Article 974-G,
Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, A. G. Eubanks and wifa June Eubanks,
owners of the real property hereinafter described have made applica-
tion as by law provided to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of
the Town of Southlake, Texas, requesting annexation to the Town
of Southlake, Texas, of the South part of a fifty (50) acre tract
of land as is more fully described in a General Warranty Deed dated
February 10, 1950, wherein W. J. Austin and wife, Sarah Ann Austin
are Grantors and Petitioners herein are Grantees,, said deed being
recorded in Volume 2165, page 590, Deed Records, Tarrant County,
Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows, to"wit:
BEGINNING at a point 1329„9 feet East and 700 feet
South of the Northwest corner of the 0. W. Knight
Survey, in Tarrant County, Texas, said point beiril_
the South and West corner of the Town of SoutLla.ke,
Texas, in the said 0. W. Knight Survey;
THENCE, South 422 feet more or less to the Sout..west
corner of the tract of land described in the above
mentioned general warranty deed;
THENCE, East 1987.3 feet along the South line of said
tract to the Southeast corner thereof;
THENCE, North 422 feet more or less along the East
boundary line of said tract to a point where same
intersects the present South boundary line of the Town
of Southlake, Texas, as is shown on the incorporation
map of said Town, which point lies 700 feet South from
the center line of County Project 3012-State FM Road
1709 - Commonly known as the Keller Grapevine Road;
THENCE, East in a line parallel to the South boundary
line of said tract to the place of beginning:.
A plat of said land stowing its location with respect to the `town
of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked EXHIBIT "A"; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southla.ke, Texas,
as provided by law has received said petition and duly and legally
considered the same, and it appearing to the Board of said Town
that all statutory requirements in connection with said application
have been fulfilled and that said area is adjacent and contiguous
to the Town of Southlake, Texas, and is not more than one. half (1/2)
mile in width, on which not more than three qualified voters reside,
all of which the Board so finds;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER ME aT OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHHLAKE,
TEXAS:
1.
THAT,, the property hereinabove described being adjacent and
contiguous to the Town li-.nits of Southlake, Texas, be and is hereby
annexed and brought within the Corporate Limits of said Town and
is hereby made an integral part thereof,

THAT, the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed
be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of other citizens
and property owners of said Town and be bound by all of the acts
and ordinances made in conformity thereto, now in full force and
effect and that which may be hereafter adopted.

THAT, the official map and boundaries of the Town of Southlake,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be and is hereby amended
so as to include the aforementioned territory as part of the
Town of Southlake, Texas.
THIS, ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect froa,i and after its passage and a_oproval by the Mayor
and duly attested by the Town Secretary.
ADOPTED this 12th day of November, A. D. 1956.
