A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE
PERMIT TO ALLOW OUTDOOR SALES OR SERVICES
LOCATED IN THE SHOPS OF SOUTHLAKE SHOPPING
CENTER ON PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS LOTS 1, 3
AND 5, BLOCK 1, SHOPS OF SOUTHLAKE, CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND
LOCATED AT 1201, 1251, 1275, 1425, 1431, 1435, 1445,
1451 AND 1465 E. SOUTHLAKE BOULEVARD,
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, MORE FULLY AND
COMPLETELY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A ", AND AS
DEPICTED ON THE APPROVED SITE PLAN
ATTACHED HERETO AND INCORPORATED HEREIN
AS EXHIBIT "B" AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, a Specific Use Permit to allow outdoor sales or services has been
requested by a person or corporation having a proprietary interest in the property zoned
as "S -P -2" Generalized Site Plan District; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Section 45.12 of the City's
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City
Council have given the requisite notices by publication and otherwise, and have afforded
the persons interested and situated in the affected area and in the vicinity thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find and determine that the granting of
such Specific Use Permit is in the best interest of the public health, safety, morals and
general welfare of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
A Specific Use Permit is hereby granted to allow outdoor sales or services, on property
within the City Of Southlake, Texas, located at 1201, 1251, 1275, 1425, 1431, 1435,
1445, 1451 AND 1465 East Southlake Boulevard, location being described as Lots 1, 3
and 5, Block 1, Shops of Southlake, an addition to the City of Southlake, Tarrant County,
Texas, more fully and completely described in Exhibit "A ", and as depicted on the
approved Site Plan attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "B" and providing
an effective date, subject to the provisions contained in the comprehensive zoning
ordinance and the restrictions set forth herein. The following specific requirements and
conditions shall be applicable to the granting of this Specific Use Permit:
Approved subject to the staff's report dated September 26, 2012; granting
approval for a three -year period and stipulating that the event includes only
tenants of the Shops of Southlake. The conditions outlined in the referenced staff
report are as follows:
The approved specific use permit will allow a one -day four -hour outdoor Fall
sales event; allowing the event to be held one Saturday, during the Fall season,
per year for three (3) consecutive years without having to receive a new SUP
approval each year, with the following conditions:
1. A plan be submitted and approved administratively by the City of
Southlake Planning Department, subject to all applicable City
ordinances and codes, including the criteria for outdoor sales or
services per Ordinance 480, Section 45.12, as amended.
2. The event remains within the general scope of this plan.
The Shops of Southlake would allow retailers within the center to display their
merchandise, give out promotional material, as well as, free goodies and
samples. The participating shops will set up directly in front of their store. The
proposed event includes a fall theme with a possible pumpkin display from
Central Market; and, a face painter and balloon artist. Per the recommendation
from the Planning & Zoning Commission, the applicant will be providing security
staff for the event.

Shops of Southlake Fall Event
Date: Saturday, November 3
Time: 10AM — 2PM
Location: Shops of Southlake, FM 1709 & S. Carroll Ave. (Please see site map)
Shops of Southlake would allow shops to display their merchandise, give out promotional material, as well as, free
goodies and samples. Most shops will be using the booths for display and promotional material. Shops will be allowed to
have small individual table tents if needed. The participating shops will set up directly in front of their store. We are
going to tie in a fall theme to this event with a possible pumpkin display from Central Market. We also may look into the
possibility of one table for a face painter and balloon artist.
Participating Tenants
Calico Home Consultant would host a booth or table with light weight
Calico Corners samples, and a possible discount card to hand out.
Lets Makeup Table and tent to display makeup products and merchandise.
Jordan Taylor & Table and tent to display sale merchandise such as lamps,
Co. small furniture and vases.
Table with bowl for a gift card drawing, goodie bags, and
DSW display special merchandise.
Kirkland Table featuring home goods and decor merchandise.
Three Dog Table with sample dog treats and merchandise display.
Table to pass out 20% off a service discount card and
Corinthian education on services and products.
Interested in having a table to display home goods and
Sample House decor.
Has a table and tent to display an assortment of sporting
Kelley goods.
Jakes Table and tent to display Life is Good merchandise.
Coal Vines Table with sample pizza and Italian foods.
Mathnasium Interested in having a booth with math games and activities.
Maybe interested in having a consultant at a booth to
Patina educate about products and services.
Interested in having a booth to educate about merchandise
Sleep Number and personal selections.
Interested in having a booth to display games and gaming
Game Stop systems.
Would like to have a booth to display fashions and
Cherish accessories.
Would like to have a booth to display home theater
StarPower merchandise.

SECTION 2.
This resolution shall become effective on the date of approval by the City
Council.
