AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF "CHAPEL DOWNS DRIVE
WEST" LOCATED TO THE WEST OF WHITE CHAPEL BOULEVARD TO
"WEST CHAPEL DOWNS DRIVE" AND CHANGING THE NAME OF
"CHAPEL DOWNS DRIVE" LOCATED TO THE EAST OF WHITE CHAPEL
BOULEVARD TO "EAST CHAPEL DOWNS DRIVE", FURTHER DESCRIBED
IN EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, a change in the name of streets located within the City of Southlake,
Texas (the "City"), presently known as "Chapel Downs Drive West" and Chapel Downs Drive" is
desired to more clearly define and distinguish the street segments.
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to hereby officially change the name
of such streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are
incorporated into the body of this Ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the name of the portion of the streets located within the City presently
known as "Chapel Downs Dive West" and "Chapel Downs Drive" as described in Exhibit "A",
are hereby officially changed to "West Chapel Downs Drive" and "East Chapel Downs Drive".
Section 3. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word in this
ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or
unconstitutional by a Court of competent,jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of
the remaining portions of this ordinance; and the City Council hereby declares it would have
passed such remaining portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining
portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent or in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of the inconsistency or
conflict.
