A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT
FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING SPACES ON
COMMERCIAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, ,
TEXAS, LOCATED AT 1200 E. SH 114, BEING DESCRIBED AS
LOT 1, BLOCK 4, GATEWAY CHURCH-114 CAMPUS AS
DEPICTED ON THE APPROVED SITE EXHIBIT ATTACHED
HERETO AND INCORPORATED HEREIN AS EXHIBIT "A" AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a Specific Use Permit for Electric Vehicle Charging Spaces on commercial
property has been requested by a person or corporation having a proprietary interest in the
property zoned as "S-P-1" Detailed Site Plan District; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Section 45.1 (50) and 45.20 of the
City's Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City
Council have given the requisite notices by publication and otherwise, and have afforded the
persons interested and situated in the affected area and in the vicinity thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby find and determine that the granting of such
Specific Use Permit is in the best interest of the public health, safety, morals and general
welfare of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
A Specific Use Permit is hereby granted for Electric Vehicle Charging Spaces on
commercial property at 1200 E. SH 114 being described as Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway Church-
114 Campus as depicted on the approved Site Exhibit attached hereto and incorporated herein
as Exhibit "A" and providing an effective date, subject to the provisions contained in the
comprehensive zoning ordinance and the restrictions set forth herein.

City Council:
April 20, 2022; Approved (6-0) subject to the Staff Report dated April 12. 2022, and
noting the approval of a Specific Use Permit to allow 6 dual EV charging stations
installed for the 12 dedicated parking spaces per the site plan exhibit. Also, allowing the
informational signage related to the EV charging stations as presented.
SECTION 2.
This resolution shall become effective on the date of approval by the City Council.

EXHIBIT 'A"
Plans and Support Information
Narrative
Application includes proposed electric vehicle charging stations to be installed at the recently
constructed Westin Hotel. Charging stations will be protected with painted bollards and wheel
stops that will further help identify these charging spaces. Directional signage is proposed in
lieu of signage at each charging space to minimize the visual impact that would otherwise occur
with having a sign at each charging space. Please refer to attached sheet A1.0 for more
information. Additionally, a rendering of the proposed charging spaces as well as the cut sheet
for the charging station has been provided as exhibits to this submittal.
