FORUM SUMMARY:
Property Situation:
The property is located at 2311 Crooked Lane near the intersection of Dean Way and S. Kimball
Avenue.
Development Details:
The applicant is proposing a Multi-Sport Facility with a 37,000 sq. ft. indoor turf training
field and a 36,000 sq. ft. outdoor turf training field with 168 Parking Spaces located at
2311 Crooked Lane with the main entrance at Dean Way. The sports that will utilize the
facility are baseball, football, golf, flag football, drill team and cheer, lacrosse, soccer,
volleyball, softball, and field hockey. The facility will be used for sports practice, clinics,
individual training, The facility may be rented by the hour and may be divided into separate
areas and field sizes for different groups. The facility will offer a multi-sport store,
concession stand, batting cages, and restrooms. The facility will utilize focused LED
directional lighting focused on the fields and Focused directional LED lighting in the
parking lot. A fire emergency entrance/exit only will be placed on a driveway at the
northwest Dragon Stadium parking lot and an emergency entrance/exit only access
driveway at Crooked Lane.

Questions and Concerns:
1. Concerned with visibility of parking lot from Crooked Lane, will there be a fence
or shrubs to screen the parking lot? We will work with the City on what is
required and we want this facility to be aesthetically pleasing.
2. Would like to have the field and parking lot lighting and poles height minimized to
not see them from Crooked Lane. We will work with the City on this and whatever
is required.
3. Will there be a fence or gate at the emergency access on Crooked Lane for only
emergency access? Yes, this access will be gated and only for emergency
access.
4. What will the noise level be at different times of the day? The sport activity will be
heaviest on weekends and evening. The indoor portion will be enclosed and the
open field will be on the Legends side away from the residents. The schedule
hours have not been developed yet.
5. Will there be alcohol served at this facility? No.
6. Will this facility be competing with other facilities in the area? This facility is
supplying a need for this type of facility for training.
7. Are there large trees on the property trees that can be saved for shade? Yes. We
have saved existing trees.
8. Comment: This facility is needed in Southlake as there is a need to this type of
facility.
