SIGN VARIANCE APPLICATION
Demonstration
Please demonstrate that the following conditions are applicable to the requested sign variance:
That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will create an unnecessary hardship or practical
difficulty on the applicant.
The digital entry portals are intended to elevate our brand and to create a sense of differentiation
between a business as usual T-Mobile store and an 'Experience" store.
?. That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the affected
property and is not self imposed.
The new T-Mobile store on 1465 Main Street is one of our 'Experience" stores that is intended to
provide an elevated level of interaction with customers. The main purpose of the store is to showcase
new technology and to elevate the brand with high end finishes and digital experiences.
That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted
development of adjacent properties.
The LED portal will not bleed excessive light pollution onto adjacent properties and will instead
highlight the unique character of the building architecture. It will also provide an interactive
experience to customers as they walk into our front doors.
4. That the variance will be in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the sign ordinance.
The LED art can be changed to fit within the tolerances determined by the approving councils.
