Subject: Item 4E: Approve the purchase of new computer workstations in an
amount not to exceed $227,500.
Action
Requested: Approve the purchase of new computer workstations in an
amount not to exceed $227,500.
Background
Information: The purpose of this item is to approve the purchase of new
computer workstations throughout the City. In fiscal year
2020, the city committed to following a computer replacement
schedule. This commitment includes replacing computers that
are five (5) or more years old and out of manufacturer
warranty.
Staff is requesting the approval of this purchase prior to
finalizing the vendor. However, this purchase will remain on a
Texas Department of Information Resources negotiated
contract, or similar information technology state contract and
will not exceed the approved budget of $227,500.
Financial
Considerations: This item was approved within the fiscal year 2022
Technology Infrastructure and Security Fund budget.

seek alternative solutions understanding the impact this will
