SIGN VARIANCE APPLICATION
Demonstration
Please demonstrate that the following conditions are applicable to the requested sign variance:
That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will create an unnecessary hardship or practical
difficulty on the applicant.
1.Five Below's brand has a blue background panel or at least a painted blue background. The Bed Bath &
Beyound in the center have their black tile background and the Honeybaked Ham have a tan shoebox
panel. Five Below would like to keep their national branding standards consistent for this store.
That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the affected
property and is not self imposed.
2.The stone facade prevents Five Below from painting their typical blue background as they do in centers
were the blue backer panels aren't allowed. The blue backerpanel would keep Five Below's national
standards in tack for this center.
That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted
development of adjacent properties.
The proposed sign option will be within square foot allotment
and will comply with all specifications required by the township.
4. That the variance will be in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the sign ordinance.
The sign proposed as -is with the blue backer panel will not
only be in harmony with he shopping center but will help
Five Below with maintaining their national standards.
