A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, CANVASSING THE ELECTION RETURNS AND DECLARING
ELECTION RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 1,
2021, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING PERSONS TO MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL PLACE 2 WITH A TERM TO EXPIRE MAY 2024, AND SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD ON MAY 1, 2021 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A
PERSON TO CITY COUNCIL PLACE 5, UNEXPIRED TERM, WITH A TERM
TO EXPIRE MAY 2022.
WHEREAS, a General Election was called on January 19, 2021, to elect persons to the
office of Mayor and City Council Place 2, with a term to expire May 2024; and,
WHEREAS, a Special Election was called on January 19, 2021, to elect persons to fill a
vacancy for the office of City Council Place 5, with a term to expire May 2022;
and,
WHEREAS, the General and Special Elections were held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on
May 1, 2021, for the purpose of electing persons to Mayor and City Council
Places 2 and 5; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said City voted in said election, and said
election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of
Texas; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 9,571 ballots were cast in Tarrant County and Denton County as
shown on the official election results hereto and lawfully submitted to the City
Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said
City; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election are hereby duly canvassed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas, on May 11, 2021, showing the following results for
Tarrant County and Denton County combined:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The above canvass is and the same is hereby in all things approved, declaring
the following elected to office by the voters:
Name Place Term
John Huffman Mayor Term to expire May 2024
Randy Robbins Place 2 Term to expire May 2024
Amy Torres-Lepp Place 5 Term to expire May 2022
Section. 2. Attached to this resolution are the cumulative reports from Tarrant County and
Denton County.
Section 3. This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.
