RESOLUTION NO. 04-065
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD ON AUGUST 21, 2004; AND
DECLARING THE RESULTS FOR COUNCILMEMBER,
PLACE 1.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on August 21, 2004, a
Special Election for the unexpired position of Councilmember, Place 1; and,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 678 (326 Cast Votes and 1 Under Vote
during Early Voting and 350 Cast Votes and 1 Under Vote on Election Day) votes as shown on
the official election results heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said City; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said City voted in said election, and
said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas, on August 31, 2004; and showed the following results:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Laura K. Hill is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of
Councilmember, Place 1, for an unexpired term to expire in May 2005.
Section 2. The above canvass is, and the same is hereby in all things approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 31" DAY OF AUGUST, 2004.
