RESOLUTION NO. 04-037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE GENERAL
ELECTION HELD ON MAY 15, 2004; AND DECLARING
THE RESULTS FOR COUNCILMEMBERS PLACE 3,
PLACE 4, AND PLACE 5.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on May 15, 2004, a General
Election for the positions of Councilmembers Place 3, Place 4, and Place 5; and,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 2,479 (1,045 were Early Votes and 1,434
were on Election Day) votes as shown on the official election results heretofore lawfully
submitted to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary
of said City; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said City voted in said election, and
said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas, on May 25, 2004; and showed the following results:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. John Terrell is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of
Councilmember, Place 3, for a term to expire in May 2007. Gregory Jones is
hereby declared to have been elected to the Office of Councilmember, Place 4, for
a term to expire in May 2007. Virginia M. Muzvka is hereby declared to have
been elected to the Office of Councilmember, Place 5, for a term to expire in May
2007.
Section 2. The above canvass is, and the same is hereby in all things approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 25th DAY OF MAY, 2004.
