2003-001if RESOLUTION 03-001 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING NEIGHBORHOOD REPRESENTATIVES TO THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE SOUTHLAKE PROGRAM FOR THE INVOLVEMENT OF NEIGHBORHOODS (SPIN); PROVIDING FOR TERMS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, established the Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods (SPIN) to provide a more available form of citizen participation in the affairs of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the mission statement of SPIN is to provide a forum which fosters open government and timely communication between the citizens of the City of Southlake and City Government regarding programs, activities, and issues that affect the -quality of life in the community and fosters a stronger sense of community; and, WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 598-A, the City Council created the SPIN Standing Committee to represent each of the designated SPIN areas with residents from each SPIN area selecting a representative; and, WHEREAS, the City Council officially names the SPIN Standing Committee members through a resolution after the SPIN area has selected a representative; now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. The following are hereby appointed as neighborhood representatives to the SPIN Standing Committee for the term specified: SPIN Area #8 SPIN Area #9w SPIN Area #10 SPIN Area #12 SPIN Area # 13 SPIN Senior Pattie Minder Jim Jeppe Sam Timothy Wendi Carlucci Mike Terry David Baltimore Through December 2004 Through December 2003 Through December 2004 Through December 2004 Through December 2003 Through December 2004 Section 2.
