RESOLUTION NO. 00-57
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
SOUTHLAKE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a Parks and Recreation Board was created for the purpose of planning and
developing parks and park sites within the City of Southlake for the use and benefit of its
citizens; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 646-A, stated the Parks and Recreation Board shall consist
of nine (9) members, to serve three (3) year terms; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 786 proposes a seven (7) member board to serve two (2)
year terms; and,
WHEREAS, currently the terms of two of the Park Board members (Richard Anderson
and Chris Miltenberger) expired in May 2000; Robin Jones has resigned here position on the
board with a term to expire in May 2001; and Bill Kemp has resigned his position on the board
with a term to expire in May 2002; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The above premises are found to be true and correct and the City Council hereby
incorporates said findings into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. The term of Richard Anderson (Place 4), Chris Miltenberger (Place 5), Robin Jones
Place 2), and Bill Kemp (Place 8), are currently vacant. Upon approval of Ordinance No. 786
there will be seven (7) members on the Board to serve (2) year terms. Places 4 and 5 will no
longer exist; therefore, the following positions are available:
Place 2 Michael Nelson Term to expire May 2001
Place 8 Chris Miltenberger Term to expire in May 2002
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective after its passage and approval by the City
Council.
